Earlier today, I noticed a new entry for the state's 700 digital system. I did find one or two talk groups that weren't encrypted. 14400 sounds like Fire Dispatch or a Fire Ground talkgroup.
Using the frequencies listed for Nampa, I am picking up talk group 1000, which is the same as Ada County Sheriff dispatch. I did hear a dispatch for a deputy to respond to St Luke's for a 'accidental shooting.'

I was curious to see if I could receive anything from Nampa at all. I'm over east of the Boise Airport.

It is very likely that some, if not all, of the Ada county TGs are being multicast over some of the Canyon county transmitter sites. This is done to improve radio coverage among other things. I wouldn't be surprised if you hear the same transmissions from both the Ada and Canyon county sites for some TGs. They do a lot of multicasting over here on the eastern side of the state too.

If you hear and can identify any Canyon county TGs, report those so they can be added to the database. They will be of the form 14xxx, so 14400 would be a TG from Canyon county. Just need to identify which fire agency.

Here is a short list of what I've written down. All of these are encrypted:
14000, 14003, 14015, 14100, 14101, 14102, 14200.

14400 is a Fire related talkgroup. On 1000, its Ada Sheriff Nora units.

The 14XXX encrypted TGs are most certainly SO and PD TGs. I had previously been told that all Law TGs in Canyon county are encrypted, so might as well not worry about those. The fire/EMS TGs probably are not encrypted, so these are the only ones that can be monitored. Fire may be simulcasting on 700 MHz and their old frequencies.

14300 sounds like a talk around channel for medical related activity. I heard a brief discussion about transporting a patient to a different facility within Canyon County.
