I've put together a national DSD+ networks file from my own research and the RadioReference database. You should be able to copy and paste the below information into your NETWORKS file. This should help you identify systems in many parts of the country. Note that some system IDs are used by large systems that operate under multiple owners, licensees, and names (and there are space constraints on the DSD Event Log screen). If you have additions or corrections, PM me or post them here, and I will update the list.

; DSD+ networks file
;
; you can edit this file while DSD+ is running
;
; line format: protocol, networkID, "network name"[, TIIIareaLength]

You have done a great job with this and it will come in very handy... Thank you.

I have a question, how can this display the sites?

Like Con+, 171, "OneVoice/SaiaNet-NY"

Onevoice is a large system with many sites. Is there a way to have it id the site?

I have the following sites in range of me.
171-2 Onevoice Half Hollow Hills-NY
171-3 OneVoice Selden-NY

attachment.php

.

And I have a problem. If I run dsd and fmp, with the bat files, it will display "Con+, 171, "OneVoice/SaiaNet-NY" Works great. But when I run sdsharp with the dsd plug in, pointed to the same dsd folder, it will not display the system info.

For both examples, they are using the same dsdplusnetworks file in the same directory.

Yes; add these into your DSDPlus SITES file like this:

Con+, 171, 2, "Half Hollow Hills, NY"
Con+, 171, 3, "Selden, NY"

You will then get the site name showing after the system name.

The SDR# plugin does not run DSD+ in the DSD+ folder, so DSD+ doesn't see its data files.

If the author won't fix the plugin, I'd advise against using it.

Where is it running it from? Wait, there are some dsd files in my sdsharp directory.

Okay, I just put a copy of DSDPlus.networks, and DSDPlus.sites files in my sdsharp directory, all is good.

Thanks Slicerwizard

It would probably be best to simplify 171 to just say "One Voice" as there are several radio shops that hold licenses for parts of the system. Saia is not the only one.

I appreciate the efforts being made to help build this resource, but it would be helpful if the additional entries complied with the file format. Every one of the above needs to be edited.

Also, the TIII network is missing a parameter (TIIIareaLength).

I would also note that the line in the file that says, " you can edit this file while DSD+ is running" be either disregarded or edited. When DSD+ autosaves or shuts down, it can overwrite your new edits with old data. It's better to shut down DSD+ before editing any of its files to avoid information loss.

Is it possible to be able to add these listings to the relevant WIKI pages for each system type (DMR, NXDN)? Or possibly creating the WIKI pages so that it is a better place to add and edit these findings? This is a fair amount of research done here and would be more easily accessed.

I agree with DaveNF2G, all info thats posted here should be in the correct format that the dsdnetworks file uses.

protocol, networkID, "network name"[, TIIIareaLength]

This is not true. DSD+ immediately loads any changes that users make to the DSD+ data files. When DSD+ saves a data file, the user's changes are preserved.

Editing the "you can edit this file while DSD+ is running" comment is pointless. For files that DSD+ never writes to - like the networks file - it is 100% impossible for DSD+ to affect your edits, so the comment can not be false. For files that DSD+ does write to, DSD+ will just recreate the comment...

I see GID and RID information that I add while the program is running deleted all the time.

The networks file entry for which should be (I guess):
NEXEDGE48, 112, "William Beaumont Hospital-MI"

NEXEDGE48 13 = Homan Communications (1 site in Philadelphia and 3 sites in New Jersey)
Con+ 425 = American Airlines 800 MHz DMR (Site 1 Philadelphia)

Also slight correction for Sugar House Casino Philadelphia Site 108 - it is NEXEDGE96, not NEXEDGE48.
