I saw the native protestors going down the street today in TO. They had their own "security" to prevent people from becoming violent. They all had HT1250 (or 750, couldn't/didn't want to get close enough to tell) radios in the UHF band, I didn't have scanner, did anyone get what frequency they were on?

Gathered as much, most radios has a white sticker, couldn't read any writing. If someone knew then that may be a good frequency to throw on the list should other protestors use the radios (I doubt they would rent 50+ radios for 3 hours).

They sure would rent radios for 3hrs. Chances are you and I and every other tax payer are probably the ones who paid for it, not them.
