I tried installing a Nooelec TV28T dongle and SDRSharp this afternoon. Zadig and Windows device manager indicate that the hardware installed correctly. I do notice that although I select Bulk In (Interface 0) Device Manager shows it as Interface 1.
I ran SDRSharp install script and it seemed to work except that it doesn't receive. Digging a little deeper, I discovered that RTL-SDR/USB isn't on the list of devices.
I then referred to the article in the January QST. The author goes through a step by step manual installation process for troubleshooting just in case that is needed.
I followed that and that's when I discovered what I hope is my problem. He refers to sdr.osmocom.org for the download of rtl_sdr.dll and libusb-1.0.dll from the RelWithDeb.zip file. While the libusb file is in my SDRSharp directory, the rtl_sdr file is not.
When I visited the sdr.osmocom.org site, there was a nocie posted there that they had RAM and disk crashes and files were not available. My guess is that the automated script that I ran tried and failed to get the needed file, which is why I can't get SDRSharp to recognize my device.
If all of that is correct, is there anyway someone could send me either the proper RelWitDeb.zip file or the rtl_sdr.dll file? Will just dropping the dll file into the SDRSharp directory with the rest of the files work?
Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.
