Well, I may be one of a few on this board that actually enjoys monitoring business/commercial frequencies. Anyway, I'm looking to monitor several Indianapolis area business trunking systems; however, I don't know if these systems are LTR, EDACS or Motorola Type I, II, etc. A couple of the systems are in the 900 Mhz range. Below is a link to the RR database page listing the systems:

http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&action=cfcc&xid=741&t=2&os=0&s=ent&bf=26

- Citizens Gas & Coke Utility: Appears to have two groups of frequencies. Is this the case or is this one system? Also, I am assuming that this is a Motorola Type II Standard syatem.

- Clarian Health Partners, Inc.: I assume this is an LTR system?

- Eli Lilly & Company: Has two sets of frequencies; 1 set in 800 mhz range and 1 set in 900 mhz range. I assume the 800 mhz system is Motorola Type II Standard. What is the 900 mhz system?

- Republic Services of Indiana: Again a 900 mhz system; however, the first frequency starts with 898.98750. Is this frequency part of the remaining frequencies in the system?

Thanks for your help.

On the gas & coke, the first set is input frequencies and the second set is output. You only need the second set. Plug them in until you hear a control channel, if you hear one then you will be able to go from there with the type of system. If you don't hear one, listen for LTR sounds. If you don't hear those, they may just have conventional frequencies.

The best answer for this is, you can't tell by looking at the FCC data. Since your close enough to hear it, plug the businesses into your scanner one at a time and find out what kind of system it is then you can go from there.
