Need help with my hotspot

I recently purchased a BTECH DMR-6X2 PRO with the hopes of becoming active on DMR.
As there are no reachable repeaters from my location I also purchased a hotspot.

I first acquired a DMR ID then I installed and opened version 1.21 (correct for current 6X2s), the software for programing the DMR-6X2. I then added My ID, Contacts, BandMaster Talk Groups, some Channels and wrote it to the Radio.

I connected to my pi-star hotspot and configured it to talk to BandMaster.

I joined BandMaster and configured my hotspot with my Talk Groups. I also setup the passwords in my hotspot and Bandmaster.

When operating my radio, I can key up TG9990 (Parrot) and hear me say nothing on my radio. Upon checking my profile in BandMasster I see that it received my keying. My pi-star shows successful transmissions. I also am seeing others using TG990 on my radio and pi-star but I hear nothing.

I also checked the hoseline TG9990 and saw my call flash up but did not stay and I heard nothing when transmitting.

I have also entered the pi-star calibration settings and adjusted for my lowest BER 0.20.
I attempted the same thing on another TG and found the same thing.

I think this could be a problem between pi-star and my radio but I just cannot find it.

Any suggestions please.

If the issue is that you are not hearing any transmissions, I would check to verify that you have the digital monitor (promiscuous mode) turned on. Without this feature turned on, you will not hear any other transmissions. Let us know if this works.

And, FYI it is "Brandmeister".

My monitor is turned on.

In addition to not hearing anything further testing shows that there is no audio coming from me.

I've tested my codeplug in another radio on a different hotspot and everything works OK. Now this leads me to believe that it is the link between the radio and pi-star.

Can there be several offsets in pi-star that will show a low BER with only one of them working?

Let's go step by step, on your pi-star dashbord (main (opening) screen), in the top left "Modes Enabled" verify "DMR" is green. Next, below that "Network Status" verify "DMR Net" is green". Below that, in "Radio Info" verify that the frequency is correct (transmit and receive should be the same). Below that in "DMR Repeater" verify that "TS2" is green (enabled) (TS1 should display "disabled").

OK, if the program file (code plug) works in another radio, I would suggest trying both radios on Brandmeister TG98 (radio test talkgroup). By transmitting on this TG, someone may reply to you, or you could listen to yourself on Brandmeister Hoseline Hoseline . This way you can verify that the audio is coming across the network (via Hoseline).

No one hears me nor do I hear anyone on the radio. They do see me when I come up in the call group.
I do see people on my dashboard and on the radio in the call group tuned to.

For anyone following this problem, the solution turned out to be amazingly simple.
My DMR-6x2 will not function properly with the programming cable plugged into it.
Upon unplugging the cable all was well........................
