need help with trunking a bc898t

:roll: hello i have a bc898t scanner, and i want to learn how to program trunked freq, i need to no what software do i need and how to use it.
i have no idea what i'm doing. i need all the help i can get.

First you need to know which trunking system it is that you wish to track...EDACS, MOTOROLA, or LTR. It will only track these three systems.

Once you find out which system it is you can then try page 41 of the manual. Give it a try and let me know. Someone will help you. I will certainly try.

thanks rhubbard ok i wood like to learn how to program g.e. ericsson ?
can u give me a example of what to put on each line. iv'e been trying
to learn this for about a week and still no luck .

M/A-Com EDACS (formerly GE/Ericcsson's system) is relatively easy to set up-

Firstly program all the freqs in Logical Channel Order starting with LCN # 1 in the second spot in the bank -ie- ch 01..... Do not start in ch 00.

Make sure you have the mode set to EDACS.

Then once your scanner locks on the CC, you can program in Talkgroups.

Once you have the TG's you wish to hear programmed, scan away!



Ohh yeah SPECIAL NOTE-
If the EDACS system your trying to monitor uses Provoice Digital, you will NOT be able to hear any of the digital coms as NO scanner made can decode Provoice.

hello milf and thanks for the help . question what mode should i be in
edacs wide, edacs narrow or edacs sct ? i'm using arc898t software i put the freq, in in my j - bank now do i scan the j bank.
and than the scanner will lock on cc , what is cc ? is the scanner going to
do this on it,s own and where do i put the talk group.
