Need info on up coming change in Columbia Co Sheriff Fregs

I read an article in the paper a few months ago that Columbia Co Sheriff Department is going to be up grading their communication system to 800 MHz. Does anyone know if this going to be analog trucking system or a digital system and a round about time frame when they are going to implement this system.

You may want to check and see if they are going to go on their own or if they are going to the Palmetto 800 system.
