I know the OP. He is associated with the agency. He would like to program a Unication G5 receiver so that it would function like a pager or Uniden scanner in Fire Tone Out for that agency.

There no valid FCC license for 155.16 NXDN in Nelson county. I'm guessing they still page on 155.16 NFM, then switch to NXDN for voice traffic on that same freq.

Nelson EMS pages over and responds on NXDN last I checked which was about 6 months ago. Not all Fire Departments are NXDN, most still use analog paging and dispatch.

I just wonder if one of those analog paging tones is EMS. I've never heard of an NXDN pager. I suppose an NXDN radio could have an alerting feature for tones. I'm not too familiar with NXDN features.

NCEMS pages out on NXDN.
NCEMS uses NXDN for voice communications.
155.160 mhz, 6 1/4 Very Narrow with a RAN 55

I think its beginning to look more and more like a Fire Tone Out operation with a scanner monitoring an NXDN frequency is a "no-go".
