Is there anyone in Burlington that would be interested in giving a brief one on one session to a new user of the Baofeng BF-F8HP and the use of the CHIRP Software at my home in Aldershot. I will pay for the session. Basics and regular frequencies.

Hi Don, are you planning to use this for scanning/listening, or are you using it for amateur radio? If you are wanting to scan with this radio, it would be incredibly limited and not a great choice for that area.

I suggest a basic digital trunking scanner. Can find used on local/RR classifieds for $300+ used more for new. HomePatrol units would allow you to enter your postal code and scan.
