Hey folks. I just reprogrammed LMRN to my BCD 325P2, and unfortunately it's not receiving anything. I'm thinking I missed something, as it seems it is picking up the control channel from the Whitby site, but no talk groups or voice channels. Is this a band plan issue? Thanks in advance.

I'm here a lot
Don't worry, give this a try:

I use this plan for a BCD 325P2

Band Plan 0: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 1: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 2: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 3: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 4: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 5: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 6: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 7: 136.00500/7.50
Band Plan 8: --------/----
Band Plan 9: --------/----
Band Plan A: --------/----
Band Plan B: --------/----
Band Plan C: 769.00000/6.25
Band Plan D: 769.00000/6.25
Band Plan E: 851.06250/6.25
Band Plan F: 851.06250/6.25

Use at least Band Plan 0 and Band Plan 1 to test it.

Well I used the band plan and still no go. When I set the system on Hold and use the control channel, it picks up all the TGID's, but with no voice. I think I missed something or it's something simple that I omitted.

Having seen the other MTO thread, it's apparent that maybe I didn't screw up at all. Definitely a head scratcher for sure.

Try forcing the bandplan for the site using sentinel.

The scanner should hold this bandplan until it sees a update from the Controller. Since there is no bandplan being sent the manually entered one should stay in memory.

Thanks for the info. I will try it.
Makes you wonder why the tower isn't providing a band plan, as I previously stated earlier, this system was fine until early December, then nothing. Makes me wonder....

It is strange. I doubt it's so they can exploit a FW issue in scanners. LOL a $30 will track and a $1000 scanner will not. It also appears that only a few sites are not sending the plan. Everything in western ont has the plan active. I wonder if it has something to do with Zone 2 being integrated. LMRN is not like FleetNet so moving from Zone 1 to 2 should not have any difficulties.

Well, unfortunately after inputting this band plan, it still isn't picking up anything. When I switch the scanner to ID Search, the display flickers very quickly when a talk group is detected, but doesn't lock on to it. I'm stumped. I rechecked everything and I can't see what I have possibly done wrong.

Does it show a frequency at all when a group is detected? It probably suffers from the same issue as all the other P2 scanners where the scanner interprets all the bandplan entries as FDMA.

It changes from the control channel frequency to the voice channel so quickly, it can't be read. And the talk group number can't be read as well.

Lol don't apologize. I program my scanners by hand, as it's pretty straight forward. Have never had any issues before, therefore I'm thinking it's a controller issue.

I am of that opinion too but worst case this is an opportunity to do some testing and see if there is a workaround.
