need some help with display

hello . while scanning in digital mode. when the scanner stops on a tgrp. the second line will show dg- frequency and thats all, thats what i want just to show frequency, other times when it stops on other tgrp it will flash with frequency and tgid# switching back and forth i dont want both of these just to show frequency. how can i switch this so that all trgps will just show the frequency. i am doing this manually i have no software. my third like displays the diffrent texttags that i have put in and alternates back anf forth with the tgid#. this is what i want just want the second line just to show frequencys thanks for youre help in advance. frank

I'm thinking that if the second line is flashing back and forth between the TG and frequency, you're not receiving the respective TG well enough to get a good decode. I'm using all the default settings, and watching mine as I type this. The frequency is being solidly displayed until a transmission or string of transmissions is over, then it displays the TG ID for about a second. That's on both analog, digital and LTR systems.

Personally, I really like that feature. I know what freq. in the system is being used and also know what the TG ID is also. The third line is flashing back and forth between the TG's alpha tag and the system name. My question therefore is, why would you only want to know the frequency?

Just the way this scanner operates. If it is that important to you to see the TGID the only other way I know of is to put it in on the line with the alpha tag.
