Need Some Help With Sites

Hello, all.

Could you give me some information? I'm helping a newbie program his new scanner and since I'm not from your area I do not know which sites would be of most value I would like some suggestions.

The person lives in the Dartmouth area of Nova Scotia, and wants to monitor public safety on the Aliant TRS. I've looked in the RR Database and was overwhelmed by the sheer number of sites on that TRS and there is a Zone 1 and Zone 2 to boot.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

They'll want the following sites programmed, all zone 1 by the way:

37 Geizers Hill
38 Maritime Centre
40 Preston

Those sites will come in extremely well no matter where in Dartmouth they are. Two more sites they'll probably want programmed, but which may be sketchy depending on which parts of Dartmouth they're in:
39 Sackville
41 Musquodoboit

Almost forgot, one thing you'll want to keep in mind, while just about everything worth hearing in the area is on the TMR, the pageouts for Halifax Regional Fire are on VHF, and are here:
Halifax County, Nova Scotia (NS) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
You'll want them all, should be able to pick up the majority of those from the Dartmouth area.

Another thing I have been wondering about is the trunking tables. Will the standard rebanded table run okay there? It is good for before and after rebanded systems and it appears the frequencies on those Sites are close to the threshold but then rebanding only applies to the US as I understand it.

Do you have any advice there?

I feel a little sheepish since he came to me for help and here I am asking for help. Oh, well.
