I filter your calling it is merely a ferrite choke used to help prevent radio frequency noise and electromagnetic interference between electronic devices. I have not damaged my scanner using a cable without one. I also have not noticed any difference between stock cable with one, and 5 foot cable without one.

This Monoprice cable works very well. Available in lengths 1.5 to 15 feet. Be sure that any cable you order has large enough wires for carrying the current needed.

The 28/24AWG wiring size indicates larger gauge wire (24AWG) for the charging circuit. The cables with the charge circuit of 28 gauge may not be able to carry sufficient current to both charge and operate a SDS100. That's not a consideration for the x36HP series, but I buy the thicker cable so that it can be used interchangeably for both the SDS100 and 436HP. (Current capacity is not a factor with the 536HP and SDS200, since they do not have batteries to charge.)

24AWG might not be enough at that distance.

Time to breakout the physics book and do some Ohm's law calculations.
Maybe so, maybe no.

However, the OP wants cables for his 436HP & 536HP. The 536HP, of course, does not need 'charging'. And the 436HP does not need the current amperage required to simultaneously charge as well as operate the SDS100.
