I plan to set up a backup computer and need to install the serial usb drivers for BCT15X and SDS200 scanners. I searched online and can't find the usb drivers for the BCT15x. I also can't find serial usb driver for the SDS200. I had installed these drivers on my main PC a long time ago and don't recall the procedure for drivers. I did find the driver for the BCD996P2 though. I have all the cables. The Scanner master website doesnt seem to have these drivers anymore, and some links don't work. The backup PC is a Chromebook with WIN10, Thanks....

Here is link containing another link to the SDS200 driver. See the Windows Serial Drivers section. Web page is for the BCD436HP but it works for all these scanners. BCD325P2, BCD996P2, BCDx36HP, BCD536HP, & SDSx00.

See if this helps on the BCT15X driver

Thanks! But nothing for the BCT15X? The only site I found with VERY CONFUSING info is here: Cables & Drivers - Prolific & FTDI
When I bought the 15x it came with proper cable and I managed to get the driver for it somewhere. Right now I have the 15x connected via cable using PROSCAN. In Device Manager under "Ports" I see "Prolific usb to serial com port (com 9)" And looking at driver version, it appears to be "3.8.40.0" So thats about all I can figure out. The radio came with cable so I cant remember if there was a CD with driver??? Or a link to it somewhere.

If purchased new, the BCT15X scanner didn't come from Uniden with a USB programming cable in the box..... If you're using the current version of a genuine Uniden USB-1 cable, this is the current prolific driver (v 4.0.0 - 12/30/2021):

Check Here

When I got the 15x, there was a cable included but it had a 9 pin [female] connector on one end, and the other end had the plug that fit front of radio. I had to buy an adapter cable with the 9 pin [male] connector and USB....works fine but I just dont recall where I got the drivers from. attached is picture of driver I downloaded from site you provided, hopefully its the right one! Also attached is details on driver thats in my PC right now.

That cable is a plain serial cable, and when attached directly to a native serial port on a PC, no additional drivers are required.

That driver will work for the genuine, new version of the Uniden USB-1 cable. It may or may not work with your 3rd party USB to serial adaptor.

Do a Google search for the drivers for your USB-Serial adapter. Those will not be on any Uniden website.
