That is factually incorrect.

The feeds have been a great marketing tool for the scanner manufacturers. They have opened up sales of scanners to people who have never ever thought of owning one. We've directed TONS of customers to Scanner Master and other advertisers to ultimately buy scanners, and that contributes directly back to the hobby with more people owning scanners.

The people who only listen to a feed were probably never going to buy a scanner anyway. They listen because it's there. If the feed went away they might b*tch about it in the listener forum but they won't run out and buy a scanner to replace it. However I know several people who listen to my feed who have bought digital scanners due to what I CAN'T provide over the feed.
