I took Bubbaearle's suggestion and locked out everything on a seperate TSYS for AWIN except wildcards.

I caught a new talk group last night!

31221

It was encrypted and nothing special but just the idea I caught one was pretty cool.

I believe it is probably a Ft Smith Police Dept Tactical talkgroup, corresponds to their base numbers. Their #1 PD dispatch is 31201 and their FD dispatch is 31261 so that puts it in the middle of their known range.

Back to the Pro-197 to try for more!

I think that TG is the Fort Smith Parole/Probation office channel. We did some work with them while back and they have AWIN radios and there TG is encrypted.

AWIN Talkgroup 31221

Well, it is encrypted so I can't tell who it is. Location is probably Ft Smith in Sebastian Co. as their talkgroups bracket this new one. PD #1 Dispatch is 31201 and their FD #1 dispatch is 31261. Downloaded the scanner this morning and had a total of 7 hits on this new TGRP.

How do you get the info if the talkgroup is encrypted?

Become a Police officer and get your own AWIN radio and bam you can hear all the encrypted stuff you want, No I was just kidding about that but, there is no Legal way you can hear it thats why they encrypt it so we cant hear all the juicy stuff :(

Sorry theres no Legal was and with it being P25 system it would probley be alot harder to unscramble than the VHF/UHF freqs that a encrypted, I've read ways you can listen to those no legal of coarse but I'm sure this system would be pretty hard to unscramble
