That's a pretty cool looking stand you got. Where can I get one of these and how much it costs? I think it would work perfectly for my shortwave radio as well (about 6" long by 4" high).

It's called the Flip stand and it's from Motorola i bought initially for my Razr Maxx but it works really Good for the BCD 396xt but i always looking for yet a better one and i think scanner master has on that is made from metal that holds one or two 396xt's ... b

Is there a way to Add an Alpha tag to a found ID in search on the 396xt for example the city i live in our P.D. uses 2367 as the Dispatch channel and i would like enter it if i can Manually :roll: if it can be done..

If you look at the Data Base anything with an E is encrypted and you are out of luck Listing to it.

I think you are right.... it's not so much that the database is incomplete, it's just that most of the interesting stuff in my area is ENC.

Yes it can be done.When that talkgroup comes up again press enter and save and then edit the tgid to way you want it to say pd dispatch or pd one or dispatch your choices are endless to make it the way you want it.i think i might have missed a few steps but i am not sure on the work pc and not at home.

Adam: Ok when it lands on the TGID i wanted which is pictured i tap E for Enter i get what's in the Picture below.. When i tap Enter again which i assume i need to do i get what's in the Second picture is that OK or do i need to tap something else to store and set the Tag.. Thanks Ra

This should be easy thing to do but it's more of a hair puller than any thing.. Just to tag a An ID tag maybe this will help my frustration

I believe you've reached the 500 TG per system limit.

When the 396 was programmed all of this stuff below was put together...

Whichever trunked system that TG you are trying to save is on (my guess would be KCICS) has reached it's 500 TG limit, so yes, you would need to delete stuff you don't want...or put them in a completely different "system" in the radio.

Kevin i think i found away around this issue on the KSICS there are some TGID's i'm not into listening to i think i can just put in a Clear a TGID write a new in that space and the new Tag and that should work.. i'm hoping wish me luck

Kevin i kissed the friggen Dalmatian and it worked buddy what i done i took some of the TGID's that i didn't give a hoot about changed the number and the Tag from what it was to what i wanted.! my Sheriff , PD and fire thanks again for your time.. I might be loven this little dude a little bit more the more i tinker and get the good advice..
