The November 2024 edition of "Police Aviation News" shows the following for tail number N536PD:

"Westchester County (New York) Police has taken delivery of a new Bell 407GXi N536PD...".

FAA registration search result https://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/Search/NNumberResult?NNumberTxt=536PD

More research needed?
White Plains, New York is a hop, skip and a jump away! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I saw where Westchester County sold an older Bell 407. I wonder if the tail number from the old Westchester County Bell 407 is being transferred to the new Bell 407.

I’ve seen other tail numbers being used till the FAA updates registration on the tail numbers. I noticed this in Omaha NE and Nashville TN when they received new helicopters.

It will be interesting to see if the helicopter will end up using a number previously issued to CPD for their Bell 206 or Bell 206L. I would be surprised if CPD retains both older Bell helicopters. The number on this new Bell 407 could end up with a completely new tail number but it is not uncommon for an existing tail number to be transferred to a new aircraft.

I thought it was unlikely a helicopter from Westchester New York would be patrolling over Chicago.

It's obvious this was incorrect information posted since this helicopter landed in White Plains, New York just two days ago.
