Freqhopping I think your are right. I listened to the Westfield Tower archive on LiveATC.net and heard Hawk 11 somewhere between 7:30 and 7:45 (local). One of them even mentioned New Orleans airport. Never did actually hear him takeoff.

Not Good News

DEERFIELD After a series of booms shook the forest, and a village discovered it was to be the epicenter of a massive two-day search for a missing fighter jet pilot, rescuers have been disappointed. The unnamed National Guardsman was discovered dead Thursday, fatally injured in the crash.

The Massachusetts base where the 104th Fighter Wing is stationed announced the sad news Thursday night. A press conference was scheduled for an hour or so later in Deerfield, twinned with one in Mass.

Pilot died in F-15C crash

KILLER and RAGE flight (104th F-15's) are up working in W105 on 338.100 & 300.125. Good to see the boys back up! :)

PACK-11 (KC-135 tanker) is calling on 338.1 said to be heading to W105 to fuel the RAGE flight. RAGE (MA 104th F-15's are working Boston Center on 292.150. Time 10:23 AM local.
