Nice to see a fellow West Milton inhabitant on these forums.
Your install should look nice when you get it finished.

Here are mock up pictures of the lightbar on my truck. I set the both the headache bar and the light bar up there, decided that the headache bar was a little too tall, so I shortened it up and am waiting for it to be re-welded.

Truck looks Good. emscapt47, As far as Ohio, Red is for Fire and EMS Vol or Fulltime. And by law you are supposed to use a siren while moving, although there are some quite runs. Blue is for Law enforcement but may be used with red also. Hope this helps. Be Safe out there.....

On our department, we respond to the station and take the rigs out. Only command staff are aothorized to run directly to the scene if required.

My department is the same way. There are times when an officer, will authorize some one to drive to the scene, if necessary.

It all depends on the department, there is a volunteer FD in MI that I had applied to when I lived there, they all carried their gear in their car and could go to the station or scene.

If i remember correctly they had truck rotations, where you be on a truck one week and off another.

Emscapt, yes command staff and all ff run red in MI and OH.

KC2OBW, only real issue we have is an oil leak, had it in to be fixed, leak stopped for a while, now back again. Oh, and the tail lights are so dim they can hardly be seen during the day, the left front turn signal only flashes half the time, the emergency flashers dont work, the passenger side front window only works from the passenger switch..........

But hey, it runs great, and was only $500.

I was taking a breather from changing the front brakes on the car, which are still grinding and making racket. I think the caliper is getting hung up.

Well, the headache bar is finished working on getting some paint on it. Then it is time to bolt everything together and wire it up.

The way the light bar and the rack turned out, I am very pleased with. The way it is bolted to the truck could have turned out better.
