Didn't hear this system on the air a few days ago. Not too strong here in Ventura but it decodes. It's using 408.0000 so it's going to be VA Security. As is tradition, the voice channel is significantly stronger than the control channel, and I can't decode the control channel reliably. Whether this is due to simulcast distortion or insufficient link budget I don't know, but it's probably both.

WACN: BEE00
System ID: C85
Identifies as a Motorola system.

RFSS 1, Site 1:
  • NAC $C81
  • CQPSK/LSM modulation
  • Control 407.8375, 408.0000, 409.4375
  • Voice 410.1500
Talkgroup 12100 ($2F44) is the only one I've heard in my brief monitoring period. Fully encrypted with AES256 key $0691, and Phase 2 voice.

Not the strongest decode from my location either.

Minimal activity but also noted only TG 12100 active. Did however have voice activity on 409.4375 in addition to 410.15.

Do we think this is VA Long Beach based on existing 408.0 use? If anyone closer can give a listen be appreciated so we can get it in the Db.

Weak in W.LA, but my office is a bit of a Faraday cage... If I remember correctly, the (UHF) Amateur repeater at VA WLA is also pretty weak in my office, so take that with a big grain of salt...

Has 410.5500 MHz NAC 293 been heard lately?
Yes I noted activity over the weekend.
Time and signal strength permitting will try to see if transmissions coincide with the new system.
