New Feed, need some advice.

Just got my feed up and running, but when you listen, it has a awlful hum to it. How can I fix that problem?

The audio portion sounds really good. Heard several EMS runs. Might just try playing with the audio.

I had an awful hum with mine too. What fixed it was a shielded patch cable.

A standard shielded one did the trick, but it improved even more when I built my own out of a length of old twinax I had around..

I had the same problem with a stereo cable and thought "bad cable" so I swapped it out for a high dollar shielded cable, the noise was still there. I went and bought a cheapo $2 mono cable, and it worked like a charm. No noise.

Most of my hum is now gone, I played around with the mixer volume in the encoder program and adjusted the scanner volume and now it sounds pretty good.
