Negotiating this web site is no problem for me. Anyway, I come here for the information and not the looks. If it worked as a DOS program and still allowed me the same information, I'd be happy.

Well, maybe not DOS but you get my point.

Yeah, saying the site is neglected is not really fair or accurate, I know everyone works super hard to provide this amazing site at no cost to the user - my apologies. To more accurately put it, the web has grown up quite a bit and the user experience of RadioReference has not. To the user, it can feel as if nobody is at the controls and the site is stuck in a time warp.

edit - to clarify, the security vulnerabilities to which I was referring are just small things I've observed in the past like warnings about mixed content, and an insecure login form on the wiki, all of which I'm sure have been addressed since I last looked. As a web dev, I'm obviously more alert to that stuff, and I apologize for making it sounds like an incitement of wrongdoing. As I said before, I love this site!

Looking forward to the new site. I too have had problems with some of the issues being discussed here. But, I don't use Radio Reference for the 'pretty interface', I'm here because Radio Reference has the best database available. (This is why it would be very hard for users to migrate to another site).

BTW, @blantoni, if you want or need some feedback from an ordinary user on the new interface, I'll volunteer my time. Being retired, I have a lot of spare time on my hands and would enjoy helping this site in some way.

I'll second this, I'm exited for the changes and I'd love to help beta test if there is a need from users; I have many years of QA/QC experience. I'll also throw this out there - I think RadioReference can benefit from secure and light weight REST API. I would volunteer to help build this out if that's ever in the plans for the site.

There is no one known as blantoni.

Correct, because as we all know Blantoni passed away.

I tool Live in a rural farm area where no natural gas so generator always on is impossible and NYSEG new york state electric And gas have 10 hour to 5 day outages sometimes 8-10 times a year... I too Am getting fed up of how people are so ignorant since the unfortunate passing of Blantoni... seemd the new mods let too much go by.. From death threats in private messages to those messages asking my street address and then people always chime in their .02 like they know everything... I have a stalker on here.. Usually the first to respond to all my posts so hope this thread dont go downhill from here............
