I just got a hit on a search--said something about going to saco in the morning. I wouldnt care-but its different. 171.525-pl--167.9....As many of you may know---the fcc does not publish many freqs in hte 163-- thru 175......mhz...So, I ask--anyone know who would be on 170-mhz analog? In Maine?

The PL is a known FBI PL Tone.

I use the 197 for my digital frequencies, and the 15X for my analog frequencies.

For my area, I'd say %40 is analog--%35 is p25, and the rest--MOTOTRBO...Running searches are fun

The FCC doesn't control frequencies used by federal agencies. I believe it's the NTIA and they don't have publicly accessible data bases to the best of my knowledge. Most federal agencies have gone to P25, many of them encrypted. The ones that haven't probably will as money becomes available to buy new equipment.

Yes, it is NTIA, a US Department of Commerce agency, through IRAC (intergovernmental radio advisory committee). The do publish a listing but it is classified. Interestingly the FCC only regulates non-Federal users and the can't even issue themselves a license for their monitoring vans.

Incorrect. The FCC is assigned a License thru the NTIA to use 41.0600, 167.0500, 172.8000 and others

Any chance of getting the job of radio supervision? Just sit all day and wait to hear BAD F words or such. Hook into their system and say--' I HEARD THAT!' I know a few entities that 'screw
around'.. .Cabs mostly.. The equipment to use on other systems, that would be kuel..
