NEW FREQS LISTED FOR RICHMOND PD!

hi all....

These two new freqs were licensed recently for Richmond Police:
858.21250 and 859.21250.....

All I have heard has been data transmissions (on 858.21250) and nothing on the other.... anyone else have these programmed/monitored?

i have heard rumors that the madison county trs is going to be modified partly to meet the nextel mandate and partly to allow upgradding and expansion..... i don't know if these new freqs are for that expansion and merely licensed to rpd or what the case is..... gonna be a busy spring with the madison and fayette county systems.....

While I was in Richmond last week I heard several different PD officers say switch to ch3. With the limited time I had to monitor I didn't find what they were using. It wasn't the old VHF system and it wasn't the new 800mhz conventional repeater. I just didn't have time to search and find it.

RPD has a talk group on the trunked system that is "Ch. 3" and a few others they use when they have special events going on.... I have on;ly monitored the data--almost like an mobile data terminal--on one of the freqs....

Ch 3 on the TRS was not active after they said to switch to ch3. Thats why I started looking other places.
