Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been into scanning for about 25 years on and off. Mostly off. Started with a four channel crystal radio shack scanner. Recently sold a AOR and now have a Pro-106, Pro-95, and a Pro-96 currently in for repair. Just picked up the 106 last week. with a confusing first few days. This thing is a whole new world to me.

Welcome aboard and your not alone in the state of confusion with these new lines a scanners.

I would suggest that you add your general location in your profile so that when you ask specific
area questions others will know what general area you are in.

Welcome to RR.com, Noidster!

You will find many people on this board ready, willing, and capable to help with any problems you might have. Indeed, today's scanning world is much different than when scanners were crystal controlled.

As fineshot1 has indicated, you will find answers to questions will come much faster if you have your location showing in your posts. Answers to questions, more often than not, depend on the location of the person asking the question. I urge you to return to your User CP (left side of the second blue bar from top of any page if you are logged in) and edit your profile to include you location (city and state). That way it will show automatically.

Again, welcome.

Welcome aboard, I am sure you will enjoy RR.
Always remember, no question is dumb, stupid, or annoying. If you don't know the answer then ask away, someone will help you out.
