OHHHHH JEEZZZZZZ!!! I vaguely remember the story when he told it to me at the 2 am story time session on the desk LOL! I do remember laughing my butt off. "Ah the good ol' days of 45 Mhz.......bbbbbbrrrrraaaaaapppppp!!!!!" lolAsk him if he remembers the "Hawk", the voice of "Radio Free I"
"Cars to I standby , the Hawk has flown the coop again, I have to find him" a familiar refrain in days past.
Good point, I used to use the PLs on different scanners and had a yagi pointed in the general directions to listen separately. Worked out pretty good. Some folks may not realize that the Hotline has multiple PL's for various areas in the State. From my home in Granby, I can hear Hartford and New Haven.
45.86 is the frequency
Groton - 123.0 (Eastern CT)
Hartford - 136.5 (North Central CT)
New Haven - 110.9 (South Central CT)
It is also a National Interoperability freq for low band using 156.7 (LLAW3) but I have never logged that. When low band was popular, the interopability stuff wasn't (at least around here)
