Greg is right. There is alot of new activity on the Vinita and Pryor sites. Is there anyone else up there who can monitor as well and help us idenitfy the new TGs? Thanks...

I was out on a wreck the other day with OHP and the trooper told me that they all had their 800 radios installed and were just waiting to be told to use them. I was hearing the same unit doing radio checks every 20 minutes or so. I think he was checking coverage.

Very cool. I'm currently listening to two Lincoln units complaining about their new radios on 27920 from the Pryor site. I would have expected nothing less.

Listening to what appears to be Lincoln OHP units talking about not being able to talk to the console "dispatch".

27920 appears to be OHP Troop L dispatch "referred to as 6A ?"
27952 appears to be OHP Troop L Car 2 Car

Very early in the game to officially identify them, but it's really nice to finally get to listen to the DPS system from my house.

I was around the Pryor site yesterday and noticed that it was still site trunking. That is probably why the OHP Lincoln units could talk to each other but not to their dispatch. When you site trunk you can only communicate with other radios that are within range of that specific tower. It is not linked up to the entire system.

I’m not sure about any other Troop L sites because I didn't go any farther north.

I heard a troop L unit talking to base on the Baker peak system the other morning, though it was skip or something. didnt write down the tg. Came in loud and clear here.

Several "Zebra" units in the area yesteday too, not familar with them.

I believe Zebra units are the criminal investigative arm of OHP. They investigate normal OSBI stuff that occurs on the highways. They are in kind of a power struggle with OSBI right now especially in light of the proposed consolidation of the two agencies.

Based on the traffic I heard today on the Tulsa site, I think it's safe to say that 44656 is probably the main side for the Will Rogers Turnpike.

Well guys I think Pryor has went big time. It appears to be linked to the Tulsa system now. I'm currently hearing traffic on talk group 34320 OHP Troop B. The people talking are Troop B dispatch and Troop B units spread across the Tulsa area (not connected directly to the Pryor site). I'm not sure if Vinita and Grove sites are linked to Pryor or Tulsa yet, but Pryor is linked to Tulsa, at least.

Still not hearing much out of Troop L on 800, they are still active on low band.

It appears the Vinita site is linked to the DPS system and working too. Dispatch is talking with Troop L without issue tonight.

The troop L ID's I've identified so far are:

44656 = OHP Troop L ch: L1 Main Dispatch
44688 = OHP Troop L ch: L2 Car 2 Car

All of 34320 OHP Troop B Ch B1 traffic is being broadcast on the Pryor site. I wonder why this is? Would it be set to broadcast all of their traffic or is it maybe because a Troop B unit is connected to the Pryor tower for some reason? The traffic has been study from Troop B.

Sandman, are no longer hearing anything on 27920 or 27952?

I think the Pryor site might be close enough to Tulsa that the Tulsa units are always affiliated with the Pryor tower.

Chaos, Now that I'm hearing Troop L on 44656 and 44688 I've no longer heard anything on 27920 or 27952. Maybe now that the Pryor site is linked to Tusa, the ID numbers changed?
