11513 has gone live with police! I did a spot check this evening and it is active for the first time with PD dispatch and records checks...North Springs platform was mentioned so it is probably N/S PD Dispatch....could someone see if PD are still broadcasting on the old system or if this is a simulcast (I don't have one of those old radios) or if this is now exclusive traffic on the P25 Phase II system? I have not seen a E/W PD channel yet but if memory serves all the PD switches to just one channel in the evening. I don't know if this is temporary or permanent...but this is the most traffic I've ever heard on a daily basis on the new one that wasn't radio checks/testing.

Im seeing 11513 also broadcasting, Police N/S is also active on the old system I assume theyre doing a duplicate broadcasting on both in case of failure/backup/old equipment.

11517 is active, appears to be E/W PD
It seems that all the talker alias's are "EXTERNAL" meaning that rather than PD using the new system. The new system is broadcasting the old systems calls.
Any internal traffic from or to 11537 is encrypted.

Well the patches are gone today...back to occasional clear voice testing

PD traffic is back on the new system, the audio is clean...they are coming across with unique radio IDs now ...N/S PD traffic on the previously mentioned TG...can anybody confirm they are still broadcasting on the old system? This may be the switch.

They've defnitely switched... MPD 1 N/S 11513 MPD 2 E /W 11517...lots of action...so it took about 10 months from control channel appearing till they went live with PD...they still have to do trains and buses...probably a phased approach

Any information on encryption on this system? Curious if they are going to be using that/if there's been any encrypted testing so far.

AES on command talkgroups. But keep in mind, they are 100 percent APX NEXT with cloud based programming, if the Facebook dispatching starts, it's just creating a job in Radio Central and it's game over.

I'm showing 851.1875 and 851.2875 as voice channels in use on the new system now... so far only station agents and MARTA PD are using the system. I submitted a data entry to update the RR page... it also appears 11517 not 11519 is Police 2 E/W as someone mentioned in this thread. System sounds great from my location in Alpharetta...
That was my typo in the DB. Sorry. I've fixed.

Some more info/active channels related to transit operations...
10111 Could be paratransit dispatch(it is a patch from the old system ...you can hear the analog carrier warble right after users are speaking)
