New NHP talkgroup?

Last week on Friday and Saturday I noticed that a new (for me at least) talkgroup became active. 05-101 was carrying NHP traffic. It was active for a few hours on Friday from around 10AM to 4 PM. Then I noticed it again on Saturday towards the late afternoon. Sometimes it was the Dispatcher only and sometimes both sides of the conversation. I had it programmed in my radio from a list somewhere that suggested in might be Battle Moutain. I doubt that it was Battle Mountain, but I did hear units working in Mineral, Esmeralda, and Elko counties. I also heard a 10-20 report of a unit at the 301, which would be the Elko East exit. I used to hear Esmeralda/Mineral units working on 156.895 when I was working in Ely. I never heard any Elko traffic on that freq in Ely though.

Has anyone else noticed this addition? Especially anyone in Northeastern Nevada, (calling N7JEH :!: ) where the NSRS has not been especially active yet?

Designated Elko NV Area NHP Talk Group IDs'

The staff at Cat Comm has determined the following to be assigned talk groups for the Elko area of Nevada for use on the Shared Radio System.
05-101 Elko 1 Dispatch
05-102 Elko 2 Dispatch
05-103 Elko 3 Dispatch
05-104 Elko 4 Dispatch & Other Uses
05-105 Elko Tac 1
05-106 Elko Tac 2
05-107 Elko Tac 3
05-097 Elko Law Net

Keep in mind that a given talk group can be linked to any of the other two dispatch centers in the State, Reno and Las Vegas. Further, a given talk group can be combined with another talk group at anytime.

the Talkgroup has been very active all day. I have only been hearing the dispatcher side of things.

Tonight I will be combing the FCC DB for PW licenses. I'm driving up to Elko this weekend and I will try to take some good notes along the way

I haven't been monitoring the TRS lately. I'll scan it for a while tonight and tomorrow. Will let you know if I hear anything.

BTW, you driving a propane truck now??

Elko TRS Activity

Well, I've been listening to the 3 sites up here all night and day, and have heard nothing. There has been activity on the vhf side. May be sporatically patched in, maybe during the weekdays.
