I live in the North Country and need to replace a Pro 96.
I mostly listen to departments and agencies in the 150 mhz range.
It has to be a portable.
Does anyone have advice?
Thanks,

a uNIDEN BC75XLT, $74.00 ON Amazon or a bc125at, at $93.00 on amazon are very capable analog porttable scanners. I would go with the125at.

If you listen to Law Enforcement, make sure whatever you get can do P25 digital. Don't think either of those do P25.

The Pro-106 is a good replacement for the 96 and lower cost than many others. If ya want a bit smaller, the Uniden 396 is also a good bet. I don't see much P25 Phase 2 in NH for awhile, do any of the existing or new P25 scanners will do nicely.
