new scanner?

Iam thinking of purchasing a new scanner.What type would you reccomend.Iam upgradeing from my radioshack Pro-2041.

For starters, where are you located?

That might be a key to what type of scanner gets suggested. If there are any APCO-25 Digital systems currently or in the future in your area, some would suggest a Digital capable scanner. If there are no digital systems in the area, almost any Analog only scanner will work.
