I recontacted Senator Jim Inhofe's office yesterday. I for one demand a better system be put in place. I think that system should be reboxed and sent back to mongolia or where ever they "built" it.

That system IS NOT what I payed my tax money for. Shame on all who came up with that stupid iEDACS dea, we'll be sure to put their names on the poor officer's tombstones when their "radios" get them killed.

The Basics

My apologies for asking the fundamental questions, but I'm late in discovering this forum: Will all of the OKC EDACS police and fire talkgroups now transmitting in analog eventually switch to digital? And, am I to understand that the digital will all be ProVoice and, thus, cannot be received on any current consumer scanner?

How long with the VHF simulcasts continue?
