Thanks for the update Tom! I haven't heard much of the statewide interoperability channels getting much use in the DFW area since they started up with them years ago. I know different areas have different usages. I just got finished customizing/updating my state IO channels on my radios about 4 months ago... It figures haha :)

In Kaufman County we use 7Med65 to talk to medical helicopters. It's a simplex channel.

I've heard Frisco FD use one of the 800Mhz simplex channels when investigating alarms at Baylor Centennial, where they have some coverage issues on the City P25 net while inside the hospital.

Outside of the big counties, VMED and VFIRE are frequently used. Parker County uses VMED28 for LZs and the FDs use the VFIRE channels for fire ground ops pretty often.

I heard Dallas FD Dispatch do testing on the 8CALL90 channel, analog yesterday 10/14. First time i have heard them use that. Been monitoring those channels for at least 6 months now.
