New to Scanning - Read - Programmed, but not picking up anything

Just getting into scanning and purchased a Bearcat 125AT.
I've read a lot to get setup to this point, but cannot find anything that helps with local programming. So here I am...

I programmed local frequencies (found on this site) and I hear intermittent static on most channels. I adjusted squelch.
I am confused by the CTCSS/DCS...I set to SEARCH
The "Tone" is called for 466 NAC. Do I need to add this? If so, where?
Modulation - AUTO

The Bearcat 125AT is not a digital scanner, what you are trying to enter is a P25 Digital frequency. You can tell that because of the NAC code you said is listed. That is an analog only, non trunking scanner. If you have more questions about frequencies in your area I suggest you post in the California forum, since the local people could best help you.
