Hello, I'm new to this forum. And I just bought a Uniden 396T and I'm having some success with this data base. However; I have yet to hear any transmissions from the PD's at Pembroke/Allenstown. Are there any other frequency's not listed in the data base that I can manually enter into my scanner ?

Thanks in advance
John...

Hello, come to think of it. I never hear any of the local PD's. I do hear Fire dispatch, Concord, and some of the State Police. Ive downloaded all of Marrimack county into my scanner. I use proscan software, and everything seems to be working good. If you have any suggestions that would be great.

Thanks,
John....

Welcome aboard. The 396 is a unique and great scanner. I've owned several scanners over the last 25 years and the 396 is a definite departure. But once understood, it's a superior unit.

I checked on the database here and the information is a bit outdated for the area. Bow Police, who dispatches Allenstown, Dunbarton and Pembroke as awell as Bow is on 155.7600 as listed, but is now P25 digital. If you have the PL-136.5 in as listed here, that will explain the lack of traffic. I believe the radios can still do the analog, but don't.

Someone listed it before. Between RR here and Scan New England, there is some great information. SNE (www.scannewengland.net) has had some extensive research and information provided over the last couple of years. That may be the most comprehensive site at the moment.

Welcome to the boards JP, I can't really help with your problem but it's nice to see another NH person on here. Of course there are very few like me up in the dreaded NORTH area...haha. I'm in Littleton, just above Franconia Notch.

Hi Jason, Ya, your way up north. I'm way down here in Pembroke. Lots of snow today, we got at least 10 inches.

Hi John,

I forgot something earlier to mention when replying. I was given a hint for the 396T to set all of the channels to "FM" and not Auto unless they are actual new Narrowband frequencies. Seems auto sets everything to NFM and makes the frequency too sensitive. When I did that, I was able to pick up more stations, more reliably.

Enjoy,

John, Thanks for the hint. I'll try setting to FM only and see what happens.
