Site 1063 has started transmitting data, no voice yet but it is up and running with the freqs stated on RR. Wyo link might be starting up another site also but one of the freqs (154.445) has been over powering Scottsbluff fire dept. who use the same freq. Radio techs were down at the fire hall trying to find the source of the static in the radios. As of late today the data stream has ended, and we here in Western Nebr we can unlock the SCB FD and keep monitoring. On the up side we thought we might not hear Wy, but with the addition of this tower we should hear them as well as we do their analog signal.

WyDOT snowplows are using Wyolink here in the SE corner. I could not hear them on the old analog which I thought was odd with all the snow. I found them on Wyolink, I cannot get my pro 96 to track, but I loaded all the channels in and set the bank to conventional and I can hear them just fine. Maybe someone with a Uniden is monitoring and can get some talkgroup IDs for the database.

I assume that they were using 153.8975 for the control channel? That would explain why Scottsbluff Fire would be getting it, the input for FD is 153.8900 with no PL or DPL. The same thing happened a couple years ago when they put up the US85 south tower. Denver FD was using the control channel freq for paging and it caused a bunch of issues that were resolved by adding a PL tone.
