I went to the FCC website for Morgan County frequencies to see what what was cancelled and what was still in use. To my surprise, I found that each block of frequencies is still active. But generally, all the older blocks have only one transmitter left active (most often the one in Largent WV). I found several new blocks of frequencies, and have indentified one new (but small) TRS.

I am about 25 miles (and up to 40 miles) away from the transmitters, with the scanner on a south facing window (even though the area is northwest of me). I have only discernable radio traffic from the new TRS, Morgan Fire Dispatch (155.145, Base-Mobile) and have ID'd the freq for Morgan Co Sherriff. The Sheriff's Office primary freq is 154.0025 and is repeated.

For the TRS's, I put each freq in as conventional, yet only get transmissions for the one I listed below.

I propose all unindentified freqs should be deleted from the couny's database page, and all the cancelled licenses also be deleted from RR.

Since I can't get reception, perhaps some of you in the panhandle of WV & western MD check this data & see if you can pick out anything I couldn't recieve.

On the bottom of the page I listed several freqs as possible forestry use..... These were issued for local use and some of those freqs seem to overlap with those already issued.

On the 220 mhz system, I was getting occasional birdies. After a week of no transmissions, I started moving other freqs onto those freqs so I could try to figure the second LCN of the new TRS. I also noticed the FCC has not been notified that the 220mhz system is in use yet.

So here is my complitation. Abbreviations include:

TX: Transmitter location
freq: frequency

I also noted last FCC action, and freqs that are not listed on Morgan County's main RR page are listed as *NEW*.

Licenses are for Morgan County WV unless otherwise noted.

[ I have noticed that the Paw Paw FD will mark up with & be acknowledged by Morgan County dispatchers. On occasion, I noticed the same by the Paw Paw PD, and possibly Morgan County Sheriffs units. In addition the second (unconfirmed) LCN seems to be only active weekday daytime until about 3:30pm. ]

Great info, esp. for those of us in down the sticks. One question: At the start of your message, you said 154.145 is the primary county FD/EMS dispatch, but I had it as 155.145, and later on you say that, too. Are both in use, or is one a typo? Thanks again.

Yes, I found the typo & corrected it with notation on the first post. I have been working on this county's list for well over a month. I truely hope the info can be used to delete all the unconfirmed & cancelled info on the county's data page.

Heres the deal on Morgan County's system. They are currently transitioning from an 800 mhz LTR trunked system for Fire and Rescue to a VHF High band conventional system. The Sheriff's Office is already on VHF high. The fire system is configured as follows: (channel plan and freqs below) Fire Channel 1 is a multi-site linked system that multicasts simultaneously for coverage using different Transmit outputs and the same input freq for all. The SO system is configured the same way, same sites. Fire Channel 2 is a single site on VHF linked only to one talkgroup on the LTR system. The OES is standalone VHF. All of the VCALL, VTAC, UCALL, & UTAC frequencies are for interoperability. The system is up and running and most fire and rescue depts are in the process of buying VHF equipment. Additional sites are planned dependent on access and funding. The school board will remain on the 800 LTR system. Hope this answers most of the questions. I'll post the list to the database as well.

I sent an the information I posted on how the system is setup into the database. Does anyone know how long it should take to be updated?

I've submitted info and saw it posted the same day. I've also submitted info and it's been over a year and have yet to see it posted.

I'm not a database amin, but they *might* want the license info too. (I posted the license info in my first post in this thread. But of course I only had limited info who actually used the freqs.)

BTW database amin, _all_ of freqs listed in the main group of Morgan County are listed as cancelled on the database page. The freqs are likely correct, but need the new license ids I provided in the original post.

No plans to move to the WV UHF system. Interoperability with it will be overcome by linking in the primary assigned Morgan Co talkgroups to Fire 1 and SO 1 respectively.

I heard the IRP radio techs many months ago discussing speaking with Morgan Co's OES director, who had acquired 6 UHF pairs. I assume since they were discussing it, Morgan Co was considering joining the system.

This license:

http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/ApplicationSearch/applMain.jsp?applID=4217899

was recently granted with six pairs:

000453.37500000 1 1 1 FB8 1 35.000 35.000
000453.87500000 1 1 2 FB8 1 35.000 35.000
000460.40000000 1 1 3 FB8 1 25.000 25.000
000460.50000000 1 1 4 FB8 1 35.000 35.000
000453.90000000 1 1 5 FB8 1 30.000 30.000
000453.32500000 1 1 6 FB8 1 35.000 35.000

Anyone know if this system will be part of the IRP?
