Where did you see the battery contacts? The photo in post 330 was of a marine radio battery.

Did you even look at the marine radio? and I think he was referring to the rear of the battery that goes into the charger

FCC drawings also show battery contacts quite similar to the marine battery contacts. I suspect they use the same battery or same profile.

Maybe there should be an ability to have a - (negative) value, just like -5/-10 hold time.
Yes, and also have selectable limit settings, like mdevoe suggests, so it never can go below something like 5 miles and above 35 miles for sites.

There are now ranges set in the DB for Schools and Universities where their license covers their own school ground within 0,5 mile but their sites can be monitored from many miles away but only get included in scan when you are just outside of their gates.

Min Site Range No/Yes xx miles Max Site Range No/Yes xx miles.
And the scanners current range setting changed to be: Site Range Offset From DB +/- xx miles but also Ignore DB use fixed Site range xx miles.
Conventional departments could be using the Site user settings but I don't know how ranges for TG departments should be handled, perhaps a selection between Use DB or link to Site Settings.

So the marine radio ( MHS338BT ) that uniden sells has the same footprint as the sds100 , but had a drop in charger with a battery pack. So I wonder if this is the battery the sds150 will be using .

I figured i would get on the speculation train. Woot woot
I can confirm, that is not the battery the SDS150 I am testing came with.

I participated in that thread. And no offense to Joe, but he was completely lost as to how preemptive priority on trunking is supposed to work. It works fine on 3600 systems, but who still uses those?
Doing some light necromancy, which fits the season.

With MPSCS, the guys at the NCC told us, when I attended a class on programming the Unication G4, that there is a low speed data stream that is embedded in the signal. That is how the radios without two tuners can monitor for priority traffic. However, a busy system/site will easily surpass the ability to send out the TG assignments, so priority tuning is not guaranteed. (Summarized by my memory, from a few years back.)

I am presuming that applies to the smartzone infrastructure, regardless of the location.

Don't see anyone pointed this out yet, but it seems from @jasonhouk 's photos that there are two new battery fields in the SDS150 - Battery Temperature, and current (I'm guessing). The SDS100 only seems to have Battery Voltage. That's seems firm fact. Now for speculation (because that's the point of this thread, isn't it?): The "current" field may show the power source as well, I.E. "Batt" or "USB". Or possibly ">>" indicates current draining from the battery, while "<<" may be used to indicate charge rate. Who knows?
