New User - Programming BC125AT Question

I received my new BC125AT last night. I live just outside a big city that uses trunked frequencies but I didn't (yet) want to make the larger investment into a digital/trunked scanner so tried to keep things simple. I understand I won't be able to listen to a lot of the police activity in my area and I'm fine with that so my overall goal with this scanner is aviation, train, fire, and other general chatter.

Last night I downloaded the free programming software from Uniden and started inputting frequencies. My scanner has 10 banks with 50 channels in each bank. And now here's my question:

Should I input the frequencies sequentially? Should channel 1 be the lowest number and channel 50 be the highest? Or does that not matter at all? Should I just dump everything I'm interested in and the scanner will sort it out?

Also, do you have any advice on how to organize the 10 banks? Is it primarily personal preference? Or should I keep frequencies in one band separate from frequencies in another band?

I did scan the forums and didn't see anything related to this question. I appreciate any help/advice/feedback as I get started on this hobby. Thanks much.

Moderns scanners doesn't have much slower scanrate if they jump between different frequency bands.
The worst ones might be of the magnitude of reducing a 60ch/s rate to 50ch/s.

Make the banks so they will reflect a geographical area or system types.
One bank for air, one for police, one for free channels like GMRS and such....
And if any banks are free and you plan to use the scanner in other towns or states you could make a certain bank to cover that town.

Thanks for the response. Once I started playing with the unit I realized my question wasn't really relevant as the scanner moves very quickly through the channels.
