The same with AES, though not yet in stock there.Gigaparts shows it at the $399.99 price point...within the range of most dual banders.
Looks tempting!
BG..
Wires-X is just Wires-2 with the ability to have a digital user in the same rooms as an analog user. What I'm doing with OpenSystemFusion is supporting the D-STAR XReflector system and ircDDB for interoperability with D-STAR and other modes.I have the FT1-dr, and the yaesu flavor of C4FM digital sounds better than D-Star. I hope yaesu develops a good platform for linking like D-Star. They're awfully quiet about Wires. Since I could use another dual bander for the shack, I think the ftm-100d would make a great choice especially for the price, it may turn out to be a best seller.

I bought a FTM-100DR as an upgrade from a borrowed IC-2000. I like the radio. I had a stereo installer fashion an under-dash bracket for mounting underneath the steering column, speaker down for audio clarity in my Infiniti SUV that allows access to the connections and SD card. The control cable is long enough to route underneath the dash, up under the driver side weather stripping to the top of the dash, down behind the dash in the windshield gap, then out to the radio at the center of the dash using "industrial strength" Velcro on the mounting bracket. The mic is just a few inches away from the radio mounted on the front of the dash next to the stereo. I opted for the text to speech board.
The GPS locks in faster than my Garmin Oregon 600 handheld. The display is not too cluttered, clear, bright enough to be seen a bright sunlight and can be dimmed at night. I wish it had an auto dim too and/or I could select an amber backlight at night.
I use the RT Systems software to program the radio. It has a native Repeaterbook query by location, that I used to program 480 repeaters within a 300 mile radius of home, using city names rather than callsigns so I can easily identify stations on road trips. I have 180 2 meter stations in memory (bank) Band A, and 280 70 CM stations in Band B.
I'd really like to hear how other users are using the memories, if (and how?!) they are able to use APRS and if there is any reason to use auto APRS beaconing in mobile installs, in how to ensure the radio transmits in digital mode when initiating comms on YSF stations, how they use Band A/B monitoring and other other tips and tricks.
Hopefully the FTM-100DR will catch on and there will be more knowledge sharing.
I left out an ***important detail ***about (memory bank) Band BI also decided to put all the 2 meter and 70 centimeter simplex and repeater frequencies in (memory bank) Band A so I can select scan through them all. I put the 2 meter and 70 centimeter repeaters in (memory bank) Band B. The TX modulation stays where it was last set for each memory band so when I change (memory banks) Bands my modulation is already set.

Hey Sofa King. Haven't heard you in a while. Give up on DMR? LOL.
Don't know. I'm usually on the air on TS2. Hope you had a good Turkey Day.No, I'm still "sandbagging" you over there, but when I address you directly I get no answer. Why is that?
