It just so happens that you are in luck.
I'm streaming Newark on the Scan Mass Teamspeak server.
You'll need the teamspeak client to listen in. I have written a full tutorial to get you listening in less than 5 minutes.

Just follow the instructions through step 2, as Scan Mass does not permit registration.
My wireless connection periodically drops the stream, just check in later and I'll have it back up.

All of the frequencies I have for Newark are included in the feed.
I'm a good ways out of Newark, so you probably won't hear the fireground operations.

Newark hasn't changed much since the 70s but Irvinton having virtually incorporated itself into Newark crime wise that on line scanner will never shut up and will probably miss half the action because so many channels are active at once.
One thing though, you won't hear any police chases since they banned them and Newark became the stolen car capitol of New Jersey. They snatch them in the surrounds including the airport of course but when they cross the city line they're home free. I wonder if the EWR PAPD still has a car positioned in the Dayton Street projects for that reason.
Nice place to listen to but I wouldn't want to visit, let alone live there!
