G'day,
Hi to everyone. Didn't know where to post this, so I figured I would post it here.
First off, I am a total newb and have NO ham equipment nor experience. I've been interested for years, but never really could afford to get into it cause I always thought it was WAY above my paygrade. Well, I feel it's about time since I see there is SO much new stuff for the beginner and with reasonable prices. I did CB back in the 90s and loved it. I had a chance to see a ham radio in action during that time and I thought it was cool as all get out.
As I get older and the body rejects more and more physical activities, hobbies like ham have been appearing more n more in the forefront of my lil brain.
Obviously, I need to get a license, but 1 problem... I can't find any VECs nearby. Like within even 4 hours. What am I supposed to do?
I will most definitely have more questions down the road and I'm betting there will be lots of facepalms from the EOEs. LOL.
TIA.
