Newbie help Tx DPS

I am able to hear Wichita Falls dispatcher on 155.445.... My main question is why am I not able to hear any of the mobiles to base coms on 154.680

It seems to me if the mobile unit is is completly across the county or in other counties and is able to hit the repeater to transmit to the Wichita falls base dispatcher then why cant I pick them up on my scanner unless they are a few blocks away.

Is there a frequency for the repeater that I can recieve both transmissions from the repeater or tower?

The mobiles transmit on 154.695 not 154.680.
There is no repeater involved. If your antenna was several hundred
feet high, you could hear mobiles 40 miles away too.

Sometimes, depending on the day and conditions, antenna, radio reciever.....blah, blah, blah....you Can hear the mobiles on the repeater or on the mobile input "154.6950" If DPS activates the repeater to 3-way, which on Pri-A & B is seldome.

Also, Try 159.2100/2175 PL: 123.0 TLE Traffic Repeater-W. Falls. I hear them All the way down here in Fannin Co. almost every night.

I hear W. Falls an aweful lot, of course at night I can hear Wise Co. too and when the conditions are really good. I can hear Childress DPS. not neccessarly the Mobile input, But the Repeater can come in exceptionally well at times.
