Newbie help with Pro-97 and Seattle TRS

Hello all! I just purchased a Pro-97, the 800mhz antenna, and the USB cable. This is my first scanner and I don't know much about scanners. I did a few searches and found the EZ Manual, which I read 3 times. The EZ manual is much easier to understand than the Radioshack manual. Anyhow I know how to work the scanner, but I'm not sure where to input the frequences. I have all the control channels from the database, and just inputed them into 201, 202, etc to 214 I believe. Then I added 3 talkgroups (Bellevue dispatch, Bellevue car-to-car, and Bellevue Fire). I then changed the scan to closed mode and hit the scan button and removed all the bank numbers except 2. I am able to hear Bellevue dispatch, however I cannot find the other talkgroups. It just stays at Bellevue dispatch for like 5 seconds, and then continues scanning and stays in scanning mode. Another question is how do I stay at a certain talkgroup. Right now all I am doing is hitting the PSE button. Everytime I want to listent to Bellevue dispatch, I have to hit scan and wait until it gets to that talkgroup and then hit PSE. IS there a faster way to just go straight to that talkgroup? Also when I inputed the control channels, should I have started with 200? Also do I need all of them? I'm confused as to why there are so many and what are the names given to them? Also I want to listen to WSP, but I didn't see it in the database. Sorry for all the questions, but I'm not really a technical kind of guy... Thanks in advance!

PS I am located in Bellevue if that helps... and eventually I want to hear Bellevue Police/Fire, Seattle Police/Fire, King County Sheriff's Office, and WSP.

If you have a paypal account get the win97 software from starsoft and program the radio with the software and an account with this web site. It will save you hours of frustation.

To stay at a certain talkgroup wait for it to become active and then press and hold the T button until ID hold appears on the display. Press the T button again to resume scanning.

have you put in all of the talk group ids that you want to listen to in your scanner? and I would have say get and use it win 97 and pay the fee here and you can do the web import thing. what happens when you run it in the open mode? you have the usb cable are you useing win 97 its free for 30 days?

Ok I just got Win97 and also the .p97 file for Seattle/King County. I've uploaded it into my scanner. I am trying to listen to Bellevue Police (which is on bank 1), but when I try to scan bank 1, I keep getting Federal Way Police and it won't scan any others. How do I have it skip Federal Way and keep looking for Bellevue?
