Newport Mall, Jersey City radio frequencies

I recently took my Uniden with me to Newport Mall and this is what I was able to capture during my time there:

467.850 - The GAP Store

159.5175 output/153.145 input - Security Operations

160.0575 - Maintanance Crews

461.450 - Macy's Security Operations

The FCC database has a few more frequencies licensed to them, however these are the active frequencies currently being used there.

How much radio traffic did you hear on these frequencies? I can't imagine that The Gap has much chatter . Since I live right near the mall I listen to the security ops on 159.52 quite regularly. They have more radio traffic than many police departments!

159.5175 is one of those new frequency that has the 7.5 Hz splits. So you'll be able to listen to them on 159.5200 without any problem!

Yeah, you can definitely add these to your Bergen list. They also have a couple of 800MHz freqs listed in the FCC database, however I didn't hear any activity on them. Believe it or not, I did hear a lot of traffic on the GAP frequency (mostly employees asking stock related questions to the managers). Their radios are extremely weak though and you have to be literally right outside the store to pick them up most of the time. Macy's security channel is not too active, neither is the maintanance frequency.
