Thank you. I can wait thenAssuming it's in your Favorites, you can edit the channel in Sentinel: Audio Option=Digital, P25 NAC=6D9.
If you're just scanning from the database, wait until the update I submitted goes through and reload after Sunday.![]()

Newtown is conventional P25 no trunkingAnyone get this working in SDRTrunk? I've pulled in the settings from RR but still at a loss. They got pulled in as Phase I items with C4FM modulation. I don't hear any calls and the Messages tab is just fileld with "SYNC LOSS - BITS PROCESSED"
Anyone have any thoughts?
@W1RKR - I recently upgraded to 1.23.03 and I believe I'm still receiving EMS/Fire. A call just went out at 13:38 on the fire channel for mutual aid. Public Works has been very busy on the radio today. It is strange though, I haven't heard EMS today. Either a slow day or something is up. It would be nice to have instructions and the files to downgrade in case I need to go back. I've spent a decent amount of time trying to find the procedure and coming up short. Would you be able to send those instructions? The only thing I can add to this conversation is this:
- On my SDS100, I can listen to both Fire and EMS (PD is encrypted) with the 1.21.00 firmware.
- Once I upgraded to 1.23.01 (or 03), I get a "Link" indicator, but never audio (but I can hear the "digital noise" on my analog scanner). I'm not sure if there is something in their setup that is "old"/wrong that is causing current receivers to fail to receive the audio or what. I don't know enough about P25/digital to guess. All I know is that I had to downgrade to hear them again.
- If anyone knows why this might be, I know folks at EMS that might be able to take feedback to the people that run comms.

An EMS call just came through a few minutes ago so guess its OK and there has been a little more activity on the fire channel. I'm running 1.23.03 as the main version and 1.03.02 as the Sub version on the SDS100. Thank you for the instructions! I'll send you a PM.EMS has been quiet today (which I'm allowed to say since I'm not at the station, otherwise... superstitions), so nothing odd there. It's interesting that you seem to have no issues with 1.23.03. I might have to try it again. You are using an SDS100 (not 200), right?
For the downgrade, I do the following:
You might just be able to downgrade by doing #2 & #3, but I always assume that different firmware has different settings/files, etc. so I prefer a clean setup.
- "Clear User Data" from Sentinel
- Copy the old firmware and sub files into the scanner's /firmware directory
- Reboot the scanner, and it will update (to the old firmware)
- "Clear User Data" from Sentinel again (I do this as an old habit from updating router firmware. Might not be needed, but can't hurt)
- Reload any favorites, etc. and re-do settings
PM me your email for the files, and I can send them to you. I got them from hiegtx, but I'm not sure he wants me posting his link to the whole world.
