I have decided that it is no longer worth my time to continue to maintain the website. It is also less of a service to the scanning community now that RR.com has become such a major source of scanning info, not just in NY but all over the U.S. and Canada. In fact, my website would have been better if I could have reconfigured it into a searchable database, but I simply don't have the time or programming ability to do that. Besides, RRDB already exists, so why reinvent the wheel?
As of today, September 26, 2010, I am placing all information currently published on my website (link in signature) into the public domain. Let's not quibble about copyright and whether I even control that. Basic frequency info is already public domain; specially formatted presentation of said data is not. I am releasing all rights to what appears on my site.
Soon I will take the website offline, so harvest quickly if you want.
For the benefit of the RRDB, I suggest that the NY DB Admin coordinate some sort of transition so that several people aren't sending the same stuff from my data to him redundantly. I will take my site offline as soon as the DB Admin feels that everything of value has been transferred. After that, I will submit my personal updates to RRDB as I discover anything new.
When my website contradicts database info, I recommend going with mine. When my website is contradicted by info from the lower Hudson Valley site, go with his.
To those who think I have an attitude problem or have been disrespectful or hostile to Lindsey or RR.com, I hope this will lay that to rest. I fully support him and this website, and now remove myself from "competition" with it, whether real or imagined.
