96 views, and no one is monitoring these frequencies? I'm not able to hear anything on the frequencies. Have they even gone live yet?

On or possibly before 1 April is the word on NFRRSA. I scan the Fulton system in P25 mode on all their frequencies, but no joy.

You won't hear anything until the core sites get built. They are behind schedule on a few key sites.

Once the new core is brought up, the plan is to start by removing channels from 192C and bringing them up one by one on the new system. Then once optimization is finalized, bring fleet by fleet over. Much the same way Cobb county did their analog to phase 1 migration.

You'll know the new system is live when you hear a 9600 baud CC on one of the 12 Fulton system frequencies. So keep checking back.

Will I be able to monitor when they go to the new system.or do I need to reprogram my scanner??

From what I have heard, the NFRRSA will use encryption heavily on law talkgroups, not sure about FD, but in light of recent events surrounding a certain celebrity, it would not surprise me if the fleet maps are being updated to add encryption.

FWIW it's most likely going to be welfare encryption aka ADP.

All the folks I've talked with at Alpharetta 911 say they haven't heard word one about if it will be encrypted or not. All we know is that it's schedule to cut over on or before 1 April. Same goes for the Fulton System. As of this morning, still not getting a lock on either system for a control channel.

You can set your watch by encryption on Roswell PD. Have it from a reliable source, same goes for Johns Creek. I know encryption was discussed by the ChatComm folks as a requirement for the LE talkgroups, seen it in their meeting minutes.

As far as the go live date for the new county system, I would be very surprised if the new county system is online by then. There are still issues with sites. I am sure it has been fast tracked, but we will see.
